About Zachary Bruyere, MA RCC
Registered Clinical Counsellor
Zachary is dedicated to offering a safe, nurturing space for youth (14+) and adults to explore their experiences and rediscover inner peace, joy, love, and safety. With a background rooted in face-to-face connection, he values genuine presence and empathic listening. His path into counselling began with a deep desire to support others through life’s challenges and help foster belonging for those who feel isolated by their pain.
Offering a collaborative partnership toward healing and growth, Zachary helps clients navigate life’s challenges with empathy, insight, and steady support. In addition to his counselling work, he also serves as a Neurofeedback Practitioner at NeurAlive, bringing a specialized skill set to support nervous system regulation and deepen therapeutic outcomes. Zachary hopes that the relationship you build with him allows you to stand together against the power of the problem.
Grounded and Trauma-Informed
Grounded in a trauma-informed perspective, Zachary recognizes the profound impact of trauma and aims to empower clients to reclaim a sense of agency while navigating complex experiences. He has a special interest in working with men who are struggling under the weight of modern expectations of masculinity. Zachary helps clients cultivate a healthier balance of strength and warmth as they move through the world.
Relational support is another key focus of Zachary’s practice. Whether you’re working on effective communication, recovering from heartbreak, developing deeper emotional attunement, or rebuilding trust, Zachary brings skill and warmth to the work of relational healing and growth.
Integrated Neurofeedback Support
As a neurofeedback practitioner at NeurAlive’s Victoria location, Zachary offers NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback—a safe, non-invasive brain training system designed to support the central nervous system. It works by detecting brainwave activity and providing real-time feedback, allowing the brain to “reset” and reorganize itself. Over time, many clients report improved sleep, reduced anxiety, greater emotional stability, and enhanced focus and clarity.
Neurofeedback sessions with Zachary can be booked as standalone appointments or integrated into your ongoing counselling work with him. This flexible approach allows you to tailor your experience based on your goals—whether you’re looking to build emotional regulation, address symptoms of trauma, or enhance overall well-being.
