About Natalia Morrison, MA RCC

Registered Clinical Counsellor

I help youth (16+) and adults navigate personal, relational, professional, and situational distress by creating a space of safety, exploration, and support.

I am a bilingual (English and Russian) Registered Clinical Counsellor and Certified Executive Coach. I believe that meaningful and lasting change happens when we deepen our self-understanding, build on our existing wisdom and strengths, and expand our toolkit with new insights and skills. My goal is to compassionately support my clients in this process at a pace and readiness that feels right for them while fostering transformation along the way.

Here are some key areas that I focus on in my practice:

ADHD: Living with ADHD can be challenging, often leading to feelings of frustration, overwhelm, and self-doubt. It can impact your ability to focus, stay organized, and manage tasks, leaving you feeling stuck or behind. But ADHD doesn’t define you—it’s part of your unique experience. In our work together, we will explore how ADHD shows up in your life and uncover the strengths you may not even realize you have. We’ll also develop practical strategies to manage distractions, prioritize tasks, and work with your brain’s natural rhythms. I’ll be with you every step of the way, helping you navigate challenges while building self-acceptance and confidence in your ability to thrive.

Anxiety & Depression: Anxiety can run deep, shaped by past experiences and patterns of thinking. It shows up in our body and can leave us feeling stuck and overwhelmed. When anxiety takes over, it can create a sense of being constantly on edge, preventing us from fully engaging with those around us, pursuing our goals, and enjoying what life has to offer. At times we may feel so stuck and overwhelmed that we begin feeling depressed. Over time, we may develop coping strategies that don’t serve us well in the long run. In our work together, we gently explore the source and patterns of anxiety and create new ways and skills of responding to life’s challenges and regaining your confidence to move forward.

Transition & Change: Life is filled with transitions and changes – some expected and desired, and some not. They all bring their own mix of challenges and opportunities. We can feel uncertainty, stress, and a loss of direction, and moving forward on a day-to-day basis can become very hard. This difficult period can also be a time of growth and self-discovery. Together, we can explore the emotions and challenges that come with change, helping you build resilience, find clarity, and move forward in a way and direction that aligns with your values and goals.

Relationships: Relationship challenges such as breakdown in communication and trust, difference in worldviews, expectations, and goals, conflict and emotional disconnect can significantly impact the quality of our life. Together, we can explore the dynamic and sticky points in your relationships to better understand your context, values, and needs and to find ways of navigating these challenges in a way that aligns with your strengths, wisdom, and personal resources.

Parenting: Parenting can be a source of great joy as well as daunting worry and distress. Raising humans in our day and age perhaps is as complicated as it gets. I create a supportive and non-judgmental space to give room and voice to the countless ups and downs of this challenging job and help you strengthen your connection with your child while navigating the complexities of parenthood with greater confidence and ease.

Men’s Mental Health: Life’s pressures can be overwhelming, and it’s not always easy to know where to turn. Whether you are battling stress at work or at home, experiencing relationship issues, or simply feeling stuck, I invite you to have a conversation to better understand the source of your distress, tap into your strengths, and find practical ways to help you move towards greater well-being and satisfaction.

Approaches: Gestalt, Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment and Somatic Theories, and Neuroscience.

Populations: Youth (16+), Adults, Men, and Parents.

Specializations: Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Stress, Burnout, Self-Esteem, Loss of Meaning, Aging, Grief/Loss, Relationship Issues, Parenting, Life Transitions, and Adult Learners in Post-Secondary Education.

Education and Experience: I hold a Master of Counselling Degree with the City University of Seattle and a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching completed through the Royal Roads University. I’m a lifelong learning enthusiast who’s diving into a course (or two!) at any given time. Expanding my skills, exploring new ideas, and deepening my understanding of the world is my idea of fun!

Beyond the Work: I am an avid photographer and love spending time capturing simple yet powerful details of life around me. I deeply enjoy nature and often visit new and old favourite places with my family, friends and our dog. I like a good road trip, hanging out with my loved ones, exploring new music, listening to podcasts, dancing, watching movies and stand-up, gardening, cooking, and putting a fun puzzle together.
