About Luke Galbraith, MA RCC
Registered Clinical Counsellor
Life is full of challenges, but I believe that with the right support, everyone has the strength to overcome them and find a path forward.
I work with individuals navigating a wide range of experiences — from managing mental health struggles and overcoming addictions to navigating life transitions, workplace challenges, and trauma. My focus is on creating a safe, compassionate space where you can reconnect with your inner resilience, gain clarity, and build the tools needed to live a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.
The following are some of the key areas of my counselling practice:
Trauma and Mental Health: I support clients in addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, and burnout by creating a compassionate space for healing. Together, we will seek strategies for managing challenges and building emotional well-being.
Men’s Mental Health: Societal pressures often leave men with limited space to express emotions or seek support. I provide a safe environment for men to share their struggles, feel understood, and work toward meaningful goals. Whether it’s your first time in therapy or you’re returning, I strive to make the process comfortable and supportive.
Disabilities and Neurodivergence: With 14 years of experience supporting individuals with ADHD, autism, and developmental disabilities, I understand the challenges of navigating a neurotypical world. Through personalized support, advocacy, and workplace coaching, I help clients embrace their strengths, overcome barriers, and thrive.
Workplace Challenges, Transitions, and First Responders: Workplace stress, life transitions, and high-pressure roles like those of first responders can bring unique challenges. I offer a supportive space to navigate these experiences, build resilience, and develop strategies for balancing professional demands with personal well-being. Together, we work to foster clarity and strength in facing life’s difficulties.
Addictions: I work with clients experiencing challenges with substance use, gaming, and other compulsive behaviours. My approach involves exploring the underlying factors contributing to these behaviours and helping clients develop strategies to create healthier, more sustainable patterns.
Approaches: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Somatic Attachment Therapy, and Advocacy-Based Coaching.
Populations: Youth (16+), Adults, Parents, Men, and First Responders.
Specializations: Mental Health, Addictions, Disabilities, Neurodivergence, ADHD, Autism, Attachment Disorders, and Workplace Stress.
Work and Education Background: Certificate in Customized Employment, Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, and Registered as a Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BCACC.
Beyond the Work: I am an avid gamer and PC enthusiast, actively playing World of Warcraft as part of a community of over 25 members. I’m passionate about Magic: The Gathering and enjoy introducing new players to the game. Outside of gaming, I love exploring nature with my dog Bella, kayaking in the ocean with my partner, and skiing with friends during the winter months.
