Healing And Growth Are Optimized Within Genuine Connections — Especially Those Built Upon Evolving Trust.
It can be challenging to determine who, when and how to confide in someone, particularly when it comes to the sensitive and vulnerable matters which lead people to therapy. Everyone deserves to be and feel heard, seen, understood, accepted and respected, just as we are. This is foundational to creating a sincere therapeutic alliance, which provides the necessary framework for any truly effective therapy. With genuine curiosity, open-mindedness and empathic understanding, it is my intention for clients to feel safe and supported in our work together, inspiring meaningful and lasting change.
I enjoy working collaboratively with people from all walks of life and have experience addressing a variety of concerns and tribulations. Some of the most common challenges have included relational issues, emotional imbalances, stress, anxiety, depression, acute and complex trauma, poor self-concept, interpersonal violence, ADD/ADHD, life transitions, grief, loss and many of the usual dilemmas most any of us face. Ultimately, regardless of the particular source(s) of pain, discomfort or challenge, the beautiful juxtaposition of uniqueness and relatability are inherent in each person, situation and session.
If and when you feel ready, please come as you are with whatever is troubling you. Together we will deepen our understanding of where you’re at, where you’ve been and where you’d like to go, while appreciating your strengths, struggles and insights. Some of the orientations with greatest influence in my practice include Compassionate Inquiry, Person-Centered Care, Internal Family Systems and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, though my overall approach remains holistic, eclectic and flexible.
