At NeurAlive Mental Health, we’ve created a warm, collegial, and supportive environment where therapists can thrive. We are currently seeking full-time and part-time Associate Registered Clinical Counsellors, Social Workers, and Psychologists to join our growing team at our Fernwood and Langford locations.

We offer opportunities to work with children, youth, families, adults, and couples, depending on your specialties and interests. These hybrid positions include primarily in-person sessions, with the flexibility to offer additional virtual sessions from a home-based office.

Associate Responsibilities:

As a contracted Registered Clinical Counsellor, Social Worker or Psychologist, you are a vital part of the NeurAlive team. You are responsible for providing assessment and counselling services to clients, maintaining clinical records, and being proactive in order to provide the best quality service, such as by engaging in professional development or seeking supervision within our team.  

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Counselling, Child & Youth Care, Psychology or Social Work, and registration with the relevant regulatory body
  • Liability insurance
  • Attachment and trauma-informed lens
  • 3+ years clinical experience
  • Training in EMDR, Couples Counselling, and / or Child focused art or play therapies considered an asset
  • Willingness to work at least 3-5 shifts per week (15-25 direct client hours), ideally at least one evening and one weekend shift 
  • Motivated to grow and develop your practice at NeurAlive

NeurAlive Mental Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Naturopathic Doctor to join our team as a contract practitioner with a focus on mental health. Our clinic is dedicated to providing holistic, integrative mental health care that addresses the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of our clients. We are looking for a professional who is passionate about supporting individuals with a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, cognitive functioning, sleep disorders, and brain injuries. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to create personalized wellness plans that complement therapeutic treatments.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive naturopathic care tailored to address mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, cognitive functioning, sleep disturbances, and more.
  • Conduct initial assessments and regular follow-up sessions to evaluate and support each client’s unique wellness journey.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans using natural interventions, including nutritional counseling, lifestyle modifications, herbal medicine, and supplements.
  • Educate clients on self-care practices and wellness routines that promote overall mental health and resilience.
  • Collaborate closely with mental health practitioners (counselors, psychologists, neurofeedback technicians) to ensure an integrative and cohesive approach to client care.
  • Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress in our clinic’s record-keeping system.
  • Stay current with developments in naturopathic and mental health practices to continuously offer evidence-based, effective care.

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from an accredited naturopathic medical school.
  • Current registration and good standing with the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia.
  • Experience or interest in treating mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and cognitive concerns.
  • Strong understanding of natural remedies, nutritional support, lifestyle counseling, and herbal medicine in relation to mental health.
  • Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to compassionate, client-centered care.
