We currently have a rewarding part-time, in-person employment opportunity at our Langford and Victoria locations for a Registered Clinical Counsellor, Psychologist, or Social Worker to provide neurofeedback services to our diverse clientele.

Many of our clients are recovering from trauma, brain injuries, concussions, or navigating mental health challenges. Others are managing the stresses associated with diverse intellectual and physical abilities. Neurofeedback is for all brains, so the successful candidate should feel comfortable working with children and adults from varied backgrounds and with different needs.

This is a truly rewarding opportunity that is dynamic, well-supported by administrative and technical staff, and sustainable in terms of emotional output and work-life balance. Full training is provided, and no prior experience with neurofeedback is necessary.


Responsibilities:

  • Educate clients and community partners about neurofeedback technology, including its functions, benefits, and risks.
  • Provide an emotionally supportive setting for brain training and assist clients during their sessions.
  • Establish program assessment tools and collaborate with clients to track their progress.
  • Oversee the neurofeedback rental program and train clients in the use of the technology.
  • Write and submit reports on behalf of clients as needed to secure funding.
  • Conduct consultations about NeurAlive’s neurofeedback and counselling services with potential clients.
  • Support clinic operations during slow periods or when short-staffed, as a core member of the NeurAlive team.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree and registration as a Clinical Counsellor, Psychologist, or Social Worker in BC (MANDATORY).
  • 5+ years of experience in clinical settings or private practice.
  • Strong motivational counselling skills and trauma-informed practice.
  • Excellent case management and time management skills.
  • Warm and professional demeanor.
  • Reliable, flexible, loyal, and communicative.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Compensation:

  • Salary: $45–$50 per hour (20 hours per week), Mondays through Thursdays, 12:45–5:45 pm.
  • Sick days and vacation pay.

NeurAlive Counselling & Neurofeedback is currently hiring full-time and part-time Associate Registered Clinical Counsellors, Social Workers and Psychologists to join our growing team at our Fernwood and Langford locations. Depending on the applicant’s specialties and interests, we have opportunities for providing counselling services to children, youth, families, adults, and couples.  These are hybrid positions, in-person / virtual.

Associate Responsibilities:

As a contracted Registered Clinical Counsellor, Social Worker or Psychologist, you are a vital part of the NeurAlive team. You are responsible for providing assessment and counselling services to clients, maintaining clinical records, and being proactive in order to provide the best quality service, such as by engaging in professional development or seeking supervision within our team.  

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Counselling, Child & Youth Care, Psychology or Social Work, and registration with the relevant regulatory body
  • Liability insurance
  • Attachment and trauma-informed lens
  • 5+ years clinical experience
  • Expertise or training in additional modalities, including EMDR, SE, CBT, DBT, IFS, EFT, Play/Art/Sandtray therapy, and others
  • Seeking to work 3-4 shifts per week (15-25 direct client hours), ideally at least one evening and one weekend shift 
  • Motivated to grow and develop your practice at NeurAlive

NeurAlive Counselling & Neurofeedback is currently seeking full or part-time contracted Registered Psychologists to join our growing team at our Fernwood and Langford locations. Depending on your specialties and interests, we have opportunities for providing both assessment and psychotherapy services to children, youth, adults, and families. The position is hybrid, with both in-person and online options for providing services. 

Responsibilities: As a contracted Registered Psychologist, you are a vital part of the NeurAlive team. You will be responsible for providing psychological assessments, psychotherapy services, and maintaining clinical records. We encourage proactive engagement in professional development and seeking supervision within our team to ensure the highest quality of service.

Requirements:

  • MA / PhD & CPBC Registration: MA / PhD in Psychology or equivalent and registered with the College of Psychologists of BC, allowing independent practice.
  • Clinical Experience: 3-5 years of experience in psychological assessments (PTSD, mood disorders, autism, ADHD, etc.) and providing psychotherapy to diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in Assessment Tools: Skilled in administering and interpreting standardized psychological tests like WISC, ADOS, etc.
  • Trauma-Informed & Evidence-Based Practices: Expertise in trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapies (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR).
  • Strong Report Writing & Collaborative Skills: Ability to produce clear psychological reports and work collaboratively with other professionals and families.
